Moloughney reported: > “By providing a one-stop shop for fleet operations, Ford is telling its customers that they will be there for them at every step of the process. Deciding what charging equipment to buy, and who to hire to install it is a big decision for fleet managers. Customers now have the option of having a trusted partner in Ford provide and install the necessary equipment.” That is a pain point for most early adopters, particularly municipalities, looking for commercial EV charging stations. The bottom line is that most businesses and agencies do not care to become experts in [commercial EV charging stations](https://sonaenergy.com/electric-vehicle-charging-as-a-service/) and Ford is recognizing that fact. Municipalities switch their fleets to EVs. Ford’s commercial EV charging station plan is going to move that forward in a big way. > “We are going to electrify our icons” – Ford’s Darren Palmer Ford produces two products that have historically dominated two incredibly important fleet segments – pickups trucks (F-150) and last mile delivery (Transit). Ford understands fleet customers rely on service, telematics and infrastructure and they have prepared for all three. > “Once the charging equipment systems are up and running, Ford Pro will continue to support its commercial customers with Ford Pro E-Telematic and Ford Pro Charging software solutions which enable fleet managers to better track their fleets. Ford Pro E-Telematic and Ford Pro Charging software solutions include software for smart charging, pre-conditioning, remote monitoring, reimbursement management for home charging, and reporting to help save on energy costs, maximize vehicle efficiency and uptime.” As of now there are plans for six stations across both verticals.
