Restaurant EV charging stations

Looking to charge your EV while you grab a bite at your go-to fast food joint? Taco Bell fans can. Restaurant EV charging stations are on the menu as Diversified Restaurant Group has partnered with ChargeNet to bring EV fast chargers to the quick-serve restaurant’s south San Francisco location.

EV drivers need convenient and available charging options as part of their day-to-day routine – this means charging where they sleep, work, and yes, eat.

ChargeNet’s App integrates with the restaurant brand’s app or point-of-sale (POS) system. Payment for food and charging is a simple, one-stop shop – customers can order charging services and food on the same display.

Diversified Restaurant Group president SG Ellison notes that this feature “will allow operators to gain operational insights and also customize and target offers to those same EV drivers.”

Restaurant EV charging stations at quick-serve restaurants can attract EV driving customers who may not have otherwise stopped in by providing charging options in locations where potential customers may frequent.

Proximity to major highways and accessibility to food and restrooms make fast food restaurants a convenient spot for chargers. Many fast-food parking lots are underused because of the surge in mobile and pickup orders, leaving space for charger installation and opportunity for profit.

The ChargeNet stations use solar and they’ll “be able to run part of the store off that clean energy and receive reduced energy costs from the utility company.”

Bringing clean energy to the restaurant enhances brand image and encourages eco-conscious customers to visit.

Sona is here to help you charge where you sleep, work, and eat, especially for restaurant EV charging stations.
