7-Eleven announced their debut electric vehicle charging network, 7Charge, in stores across the U.S. and soon in Canada. Currently, the network has chargers in Florida, Texas, Colorado and California. 7Charge has a mobile app for customers to charge and pay with ease and the chargers are compatible with many types of EVs, though require an adapter.

Convenience store chains and quick service restaurants are expanding their EV charging options. Subway recently announced their plan to build EV charging “oases” and fast chargers at Taco Bell restaurants are on the rise.

As businesses continue to add charging options, it’s important to consider design and infrastructure strategy such as charger placement and quantity of chargers, and a parking layout that optimizes station utilization.

At Sona, we focus on finding EV solutions that not only keep up with the rapidly evolving pace of the electric vehicle charging world, but that are customized to support the specific needs of each customer we work with – this may include discussing the right power input, determining the most valuable software features and monetization path and taking advantage of available state grant and utility incentives.

Sona Energy works with convenience stores, retail, and quick service restaurants to implement EV charging solutions. Reach out to us today for an assessment.
